BACKGROUND
The agency excelled in the Social aspect of Environment, Social and Governance (ESG). Yet, they faced mounting pressure from major clients across all ESG areas due to scope 3 reporting demands. This pressure was so intense that one potential client insisted on working exclusively with B Corp certified agencies.
SOLUTION
A materiality assessment was required to identify and prioritise the most relevant issues for the business which covered staff, leadership team, clients, competitors, community/charity and governance.
This highlighted key focus areas, starting with ESG training for the leadership team to boost knowledge and enable more strategic discussions with clients and prospects. We helped refine existing business propositions to heighten sustainability focus and provide a clear means of measurement which could then be shared with clients as part of the process.
This was followed by proactive efforts centred on creating new revenue streams, each incorporating positive environmental or societal impact for the client and ultimately their consumers.
At a request of a new client, they had to complete an EcoVadis assessment and were delighted to receive a bronze rating.
Throughout this process, we aimed to create a cohesive brand that resonated with all stakeholders in the cycling world.
